• Until today, my wp has been working fine, but today, without no explanation, a message came up:

    Can’t select database

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the database.

    * Are you sure it exists?
    * On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?

If you don’t know how to setup a database you should contact your host. If all else fails you may find help at the WordPress Support Forums.

I have read all the posts in the search mode, but I didn’t find anything suitable. I haven’t changed anything in my config.

    What should I do?

sorry didn’t tell: my web is https://www.maquinistas.net

This happened to me several months ago when my host had a major power failure. They lost all of their SQL databases as well as the backups they had, however all of the rest of the stuff on my hosting account was fine.

Contact your host to find out what happened. If it was something like this, you will simply have to re-create the database in your site’s control panel and upload your blog’s backup file which you should be keeping.

    ???
