    This step worked for me guys:
    3. Select the user the DB and click the “All” option under “Privileges” then click “Grant Permissions” button.

    Try it the thing with cpanel is that when you create a user for a database it doesn’t give them a all priviledges. You have to go back and select all in the priviledges. Then you should have something like this under your database:

    databasename_username (Privileges: ALL PRIVILEGES)…..

    i had this problem too. i was using a cpanel to set up my dbase and it was with mySQL 5, i then switch to and created with mySQL 4 in the cpanel and everything worked good.

    hope this will help some
