• Resolved Howling

    I made a theme of my own (based on the Default) and I added a template page or 2 especially for specific pages. I made five of these pages and selected that one page template from the dropdownbox (“Page Template”).

    But now – all of a suddent – I cannot choose my own page templates, only Archives and Links. Even though my own page templates (with the correct heading in the file are still in the theme’s directory. What’s up? Now, when I want to edit one of those pages with the virtually missing page template I get a revision message (an auto-saved one is “newer”).

    The page template still has this in the top lines:

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: Portfolio
    */
    ?>

    Any ideas?

    For some reason it seems to haunt me; whenever I post about a problem I find the reason a minute later.

    This is what happened; I accidentally overwrote the style.css from the Default style with that of my Howling style.

    When I replaced the style.css in the Default theme directory WordPress could suddenly find my page templates again.

    I also have themes in wpmu in which I cannot choose a template page, could you describe me better the solution to this?
