I’m attempting to save some meta fields that have been made hidden by the plugin which registered them. Here are the meta fields I’m trying to save for a “testimonials” CPT:

    _ikcf_client
    _ikcf_email
    _ikcf_position

If I don’t include the first underscore, then I can save them with no issue; however, with the underscore, they don’t populate within my CPT. Is this a limitation of the plugin, or is there something I can do to work around this issue?

(I can’t change the meta keys, unfortunately, or this would be a simple fix.)

    Hi Jon,

Gravity Forms handles saving the post meta even for the custom post types. This plugin just handles changing the post type. With that said, if you deactivate this plugin, are the hidden post meta values populated as expected? The post would be created as a “post” and not your custom post type so you’d need to look there.

Sounds good, David, and thanks for reaching out. That’s a fantastic question, and I have the answer: even if we’re saving as a post (not a CPT), hidden meta fields don’t populate.

(I’ve checked the database directly to be sure.)

The GF support team will get you squared away. ??

I have the same problem….trying to use gravity forms and + CPT plugin to allow front end creation of a CPT with hidden meta fields. Did you find a resolution?
