Can’t seem to get the logged in vs out status to show/hide an element properly

Hello,
I tested your plugin and tried to hide a certain part of my page for logged out users. First of all I want to say it seems to work fine if you just want to hide a simple element on the page, say a message that shows on every page.
However I clicked on the hide icon (the eye with a line through it) and then in “conditions” I set it to “logged out users” which I assume means logged out users can’t see that element. It worked in the sense that, the element was hidden, but it was still hidden after I log in. Any ideas? Also I guess there is no way to link the capability to a user role?
