Can't seem to edit footer text

    Hi there!

    I am using the JustWrite theme on my website (www.progressivepraise.com) and regardless of what I put in the footer text, it continues to keep the default text in place of mine. I have tried to remove the code that even calls for the footer text in the index.php file as well as removed the text completely from the footer.php file but when I do that, for some reason it completely screws up my slider functionality.

    Any help would be great.
