With the new version…I tried to set up a new table, in the set up wanted it to have 10 rows and 4 columns. Went to save it and the only thing that shows is the title and description. None of the rows show and I can’t add any now either.

I am using Safari and Firefox web browser. Could it be a plugin conflict?

Just checked one of my other sites that use it and it seems to be working, will go through my plugins and see where the issue is.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Yes, it would be great if you could try again with all other plugins deactivated and after switching to a WordPress default theme like TwentyFifteen.
TablePress 1.5.1 has been out now for a while and I haven’t heard of an issue like that before, so that I assume that it’s caused by another plugin that interferes.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Not the theme and all the plug-ins are the same as on my other site where it works. Will try to deactivate plugins one at a time and see if I can figure it out.

Just deactivated all plugins except Table Press and it still won’t create a table. Is it possible the plugin is the issue. Can I delete it and add it back in fresh or will I lose my current tables.

    Hi,

ok, thanks for testing. Yes, please re-install TablePress from a fresh download then. Your tables will be fine, as they are kept in the database.
If you want, you can create backup by exporting them to the “JSON” format, on the “Export” screen.

    Hi,

thanks for trying all this! Yes, I’d like to take a look at this on your site, to find the cause for this.
    I’ll send you an email.

Hi Tobias. I am also looking for some help. I did go through the error sorting steps but could not see a problem. The only error I saw on the console was relating to an image file that does not exist. I am using the latest Table Press version as well as WoordPress and WooThemes SuperStore theme and WooCommerce. Everything seems up to date.
I am not able to edit any of the properties of existing tables similar to what Len has described.
My site is https://www.pharmaseptic.com and most of the table in question are in the shop area. I am planning on some significant expansion of the products but of course need the tables to work.

One last question regarding SOE and TablePress tables – Do you know if they are searched only in the description or in tabs as well?

    My email is [email protected]

    Thanks.

    Hi John,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Just to clarify: You are having problems with e.g. the “Add row” feature on the “Edit” screen of a TablePress table? Are you seeing the relevant buttons (like “Add”, “Insert”, “Delete”, etc.)?
What exactly is happening when you use those buttons? Does this happen in other browsers as well? Does it happen when you temporarily deactivate all other plugins and switch to a WordPress default theme like TwentyFifteen?

For your SEO question: Search engines will see what you can see, so both the table content and the description will be indexed, if those are embedded in a published page.

    Regards,
    Tobias
