I’m a little new to this. My theme and some plug ins were updated. The theme I’m using is Twenty Eleven. After that I needed to do a new post. But now I can only get the “text” version of the place to put the text for the post. There’s no way to access the “visual” version, no kitchen sink and no options to work on the text like you would in a Word document, the way it was a couple of days ago. Is there any simple way to fix this? Thanks for your help, Mark

  • Sounds like you may have a problems with one of your plug-ins (since you are using twentyeleven) — this post has the troubleshooting steps you need to start with:

I deactivated all my plug ins, I don’t actually have very many, but I still don’t get the visual option, only the text option on the posting a post place. In looking over the forum here, it seems like a lot of other people are having the same problem. I’m not smart with html so I don’t know exactly what the next step would be. It talked about manually reloading WP 3.5, is that recommended? Or is there something else that is keeping this from working? I sure appreciate any help with this, thanks so much, Mark

at first this wasn’t working for me but when I cleared the cache, that made it all work. I’ll go back and activated my plug ins but at least I get the visual editor back as it was before
