Can’t See Page Elements to Edit/Can’t Publish New Content

  • I’m attempting to help make edits to a friend’s site that was created in 2017 using a custom theme and hasn’t been touched since.

    They updated to 5.8.2 before I jumped in, and while I’ve been able to tweak some text in a few places, there are elements I can’t find in order to edit them. I’ve also added and published images and text that simply will not show up on the site. Tried some of the troubleshooting suggestions, but nothing worked.

    Please bear in mind that I am not programmer and don’t code. I’ve had limited experience on a different WP site using Fusion Builder. (WYSIWIG is more my style!)

    In the link page, for instance, I want to edit and/or duplicate the blue bar and white text. Can’t find it. I’ve also published three owner bios and photos, but can’t get them to show up on this page. Couldn’t update the video header if I wanted to, because it’s nowhere to be found, video isn’t in the media library, etc., etc.

    It seems that you need a help from the developer of the theme. You can also look for another developer on a site such as Upwork who can help with the issues you are facing or try using a different theme.
