My site is remotely hosted but I have admin for managing content and I think for everything else. I am thinking of using a 3rd party to create a mobile version of the site and they will let me have the javas cript redirect code. This, I think, needs to go first on the Home (theme?) header.php. I’ve looked at everything on the admin pages but can’t seem to get to this page of code.

  • The best way would be to sign into your hosted account and use their file manager. Another way would be to use ftp to see the files on the server.

Thanks – when I sign in the first page that comes up is Dashboard. I then view ‘pages’ and the first home page just has this code:

There are about 4 other ‘Home’ pages for different sections and I can view the code on those and edit text etc. but nowhere can I see the header.php

Remember to wrap code with the (code) button above your forum posts.

    No that didn’t work:

If you don’t want to use FTP or sign into your hosted account you can go to dashboard, appearance, editor. Select the theme you want to edit and look for header.php

Changes here can bring your site down and there is no back or undo button. If that happens you will be forced to use ftp or your hosted sites control panel to correct errors.

Thanks all for your help. I think I will leave well alone and let the experts make any changes until I have learned more.
