cant see more than 5 plugins

I upgraded to 2.5 and now the plugins admin screen only shows me the 1st 5 plugins listed alphabetically. Plugin directory permission is 777. All 10 plugins show up in “Plugin editor”. I tried deleting a single plugin like “hello.php”, but that just made the next one alphabetically show up, the number of plugins shown always stays at 5. I only get to see plugins with names beginning with the letters “A-L”. Unable to activate plugins like as “Wassup”, “Nextgen-gallery”, “simple tags”, and “wp-contact-form” because I can’t see them.
