• I have three WordPress sites hosted on Bluehost that have been working fine for over a year, and now I’m not able to see or log in to any of them. One site I logged into a few times daily, another one I updated maybe once every couple of months. Nothing shows up no matter which pages I try to access. wp-admin does not pull up at all.

  • Is your account with Blue Host still active? Did you contact them?

My account is still active through September. I called customer service and they instructed me to take the matter up with “the WordPress guys.” :/

    For everyone’s reference: https://www.aubriejohnson.com

Can you go in through CPanel // or FTP and see if all your files are there?
If you can get in through Cpanel check to see if your mysql database is still there, if so do take a back up of it now.

Do you have any current back ups of your site?

Start by deactivating your plugins and switching your theme to the twentyten theme. This can be done through PHPMyAdmin. Check your settings in your wp-config.php file too. Test renaming your .htaccess file as well and see if that makes a difference.

If you still have problems, try re-downloading WordPress from here, and then re-upload the core files, minus wp-content

@dragonsjaw : Checked through CPanel — all of my stuff is still there. I actually reinstalled WP, made a new site, and then a week later the same t-string error occurred, but this time I have a backup available so I’m not tearing my hair out…much.

@bh_wp_fan : Sweet, I didn’t know about PHPMyAdmin. I’m not well-versed in PHP though, so I’m having trouble locating my plugins. I’m sure it’s gotta be somewhere in between _wrd1 and _wrd16 but is there a method to the madness?

Thanks, both of you, for your continued help. ??
