Can't see added content after update

  • Just updated my WP to the latest version. I no longer see either the visual editor nor the HTML editor. When I type in the new post content box nothing appears. If I cut and paste from another document, it looks like nothing is there, but if I select the text it shows up in white text on a blue background.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Have tried the first two so far. No success. Now trying the more complicated suggestions.

    Can you elaborate on the last point? When you say a “fresh download” what do you mean exactly?

    You download another copy of WordPress 3.3.2 to your computer, unpack the archive and then upload the wp-admin and wp-includes folders using FTP (or whatever file management application your host provides).
