Hi thaikolja. I just realized that I can’t search my posts anymore since I activated your plugin…

When I make a search from the Admin, I got a blank page and the URL is quite messed up:

    F://local/wp-admin/edit.php?s=help&post_status=all&post_type=post&_wpnonce=62qg72k713&_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit.php&action=-1&m=0&cat=0&paged=1&mode=list&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=New+book+review&secondary_title=&secondary_title=For+the+kids+…&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&action2=-1

    Do you know what’s happening?

    Thanks for your help!

That sounds weird. I just tested it on my server and everything seems fine:

    https://kolja-laptop/wptest/wp-admin/edit.php?s=help&post_status=all&post_type=post&action=-1&m=0&cat=0&paged=1&mode=list&secondary_title&action2=-1

    Sure it’s Secondary Title plugin?

Yes, my search works fine when I deactivate Secondary Title.

Did you make a search within the posts from the Admin page?

    Weird indeed…

Yes, I’m on /wp-admin/edit.php. I tried with various settings and values, but I can’t reproduce that error. Can you tell me what exactly you enter and select?

Well, I just do a search on the admin list post screen, whatever I search (the word ‘book’ or ‘family’) I click ‘Search’ and then I get a blank page, and the very long URL I gave you.

No particular settings, no values, only the word search directly from the admin list post screen. It works again fine when I deactivate your plugin…

Does this bug also occur if you disable all other plugins and only activate Secondary Title?

    (@alkorr)

This bug doesn’t occur when I disable all the other plugins… ??

When I do a search the page I got in return in all blank, view source is totally blank, empty…

Do you think it has something to do with the many ‘&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=&secondary_title=’ I get in the URL?

This is so very strange. If anyone else has also this bug, please let us know, it might help find out a solution. I’m not a coder, I can’t help much I’m afraid.

Yeah, I’m eager to fix that bug too, but I somehow can’t manage to reproduce it. I have a few WP blogs with Secondary Title and none of them get that error. It must be a combination between the plugin and your blog settings. It’s just very hard to find out which one it is.

Can you take a screenshot of your Secondary Title settings page? Maybe that helps me.

Hi thaikolja. I spent the day disabling plugins, clearing my functions.php… And the weirdest thing is that I realized the empty page happens randomly (5-10 times in a row then sometimes).

I can’t tell if it comes from your plugin or not, and I guess the randomness makes things even more complicated to debug.

I’ll keep trying things, even install the plugin to another WP installation and let you know if I still encounter this ’empty search result page’ problem.

Thanks for your help and your great plugin ??

Thanks a lot for your help, much appreciated. Let me know if you’ve found something out. I’ll have a look myself, too.

    Excelent plugin
