When in backend for translating, I find really difficult to make search in Japanese languages.

Strings are found only if in the search box I put the beginning of the japanese string, If I look for a central part, or the ending of the string, it does not find anything.

For example, I have this string

    利用可能な期間

If I search for the whole string it is found, if I search for the beginning (like 利用可) it works, but if I do not include the beginning (searching for the end or a central part) it does not find anything.

    Here’s some screenshots

    1. full string search (ok) https://prnt.sc/dGOY-tmWp–Y
    2. search of the beginning of the string (ok) https://prnt.sc/EgrqvTf-1M7P
    3. search for a middle part or ending (not working) https://prnt.sc/mjTYkgT8Arm5

Naturally this is an issue when I have long strings to find.

I’m sure this is due to the nature of the Japanese characters, is it fixable?

The text filter searches for the beginning of “words” for speed. This applies to all languages and scripts. I have no plans to change this at the moment.
