    Hi all,

I am using the excellent suffusion theme and seem to be unable to save any theme-specific options.

I already posted to the theme support forum, but thought I’d ask here as well, in case it was a known issue (search turned up nothing like it).

There are no error messages, either in my server access/error logs (set to ‘debug’), or in the browser or admin interface. This affects all theme config menus except one (for those of you using it, ‘Visual Effects -> Theme Selection’ which seems no different from the other menus)

I recently upgraded the theme. Unfortunately I am not sure whether this is as a result of the upgrade, as I don’t believe I’ve changed much, if anything, over the past few (regular, incremental) updates. I do not recall the version I upgraded from, but it was around August 10, so it can’t have been a large leap.

The theme maintains all the options I’d set previously before the upgrade. I have tried disabling all WP plugins, checked unix-level file permissions and ownership, tried with Firefox and Safari on OSX and Chrome on XP, cleared browser cache, etc.

The site and theme work fine. I have tried changing numerous options; all reset to the old values when I click ‘save’.

Tried to delete the theme directory and re-download it — no luck. Tried to switch to another theme (which let me save options just fine), then back again, also no go.

All other wordpress configuration changes and content submissions work fine. The page is an Apache2 VirtualHost; I have a second, identically configured server (identical except for whatever’s broken) on another vhost, where theme options changes work. I also checked for .htaccess or server-level access rules, nothing there though.

    Apache 2.2.3 / Ubuntu
    Wordpress 3.0.1
    Suffusion 3.6.3

Any hints as to what I might be doing wrong? I saw a posting describing a problem similar to this on the www.remarpro.com forums, but no details or follow-up.

    Thanks,

    -John

  • Same problem. There are no save buttons on my blog. using 3.6.6.

Extremely detailed features, but cumbersome to navigate, partly because terminology used sometimes seems vague or less than accurate.

    Examples?

“Visual effects” ( What is that ? )
    Same with “Blog Features”

I like all of the design options. However, this theme could be greatly improved if there were ways to MORE QUICKLY make significant changes to the theme navigation and appearance.

The save buttons are very prominently overlaid on each of your options pages. You might want to clear out your cache if you are not seeing them.

The distinction between Visual Effects and Blog Features is more along the lines of “look and feel” (aka CSS) and “core functionality” (aka PHP).

While I welcome the comment, it is basically useless to me without more specific inputs about how “this theme could be greatly improved”. How would you propose 450+ options be grouped so that you can “MORE QUICKLY make significant changes”?

I have flushed the cache (happens when I close my browser). There clearly is no save buttons.

Any one figure out the fix for this?

Here is the fix. I had to use an FTP program to navigate to themes/suffusion/admin.

    Saytontan,

    Excellent work!
