    Hello, Hector.
As a longtime user of WordPress Popular Posts,
I wanted to use Recently to simplify my work process.
Today I tried it, but I couldn’t even save Recently settings on the widgets page. I failed to set the number of list items to 3.
I use multi-site. I tried to install it manually and turn off minify feature of the cache manager.

Are there any checkpoints or solutions to this problem?
    – WordPress 6.0.1
    – Divi Extra Latest
    – W3 Total Cache Latest
    – WordPress Popular Posts 5.x final (due to I’m using PHP 7.0.3)

    Thank you.

    Hi @bahns,

Just tried Recently with a clean install of WordPress 6.0.1, being Recently the only active plugin, and was able to add a widget to the sidebar, save settings, etc. without issues. I expect it to be the same on Multisite but I’d have to check to be sure.

Are you seeing any error messages on screen and/or the browser console?

Ah, nevermind. I see the problem now. The widget for some reason resets to the default 10 value when you reload the Widgets screen.

Recently hasn’t been updated to work with the new block-based Widgets screen (released with WordPress 5.8) yet. Plugin has only been tested up to WordPress 5.7.6. I need to get that sorted out soon so thanks for the heads-up. In the meantime you can either install the Classic Widgets plugin so you can use Recently or try a different Recent Posts plugin.

Hey, took a while but Recently 4.0.0 is here. The plugin is now compatible with the current version of WordPress.

Among other things, there’s now a new Recently block that supersedes the “classic” Recently widget. Use it instead of the classic widget on your site’s sidebar (and anywhere you can insert a block actually).

Closing this topic as resolved. If you have any comments / questions please let me know.
