Can’t SAVE or PUBLISH a post or page!?!

  • I just upgraded to WP 2.3.3 and now cannot SAVE, Save and Continue Editing, or Publish posts OR pages!! *panic*

    When I attempt to save and continue editing, save, or publish, the TITLE is saved but none of the post/page CONTENT.

    I get the error message:

    “Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? Your changes will be lost…” etc. etc.

    If I click cancel nothing happens, if I click “continue” then my changes are not saved (except for with the title).

    HELP!

    As an addendum, I work on a MacBook Pro w/Intel…

    This STILL does not work in Firefox 2.xx on Windows OR MAC, nor in Safari. However, it does work in IE7 on Windows.

    If you are having similar problems, I suggest you try to post/save in IE 7 on Windows.

    I still really would like this resolved for all other browsers PLEASE.

    I had this problem a while back, and it resolved by turning off the Visual Editor.

    i hava some problem with you, but actually i not in upgrade situation, in 3 days a go i can save and publish my (post/page)but, to days i also panic when i can not save or publish my (post/page), the problem is after i write some content to post/page and “click” (save/publish)===> the result is white blank , there is white at all blank

    i panic now…….

    I think I had the same problem as you, munfaridon. Could edit/save my posts/pages a week ago but then today got the blank screen and nothing saved when I went to save/publish. I upgraded to 2.5 (from 2.1! A very long time coming… serves me right I suppose…) and now all is OK. You may have figured this out already but let me know if this works for you!

    I had similar problems:

    I’d changed my site’s url, restored the database, and then wasn’t able to save / edit pages or posts (it just went to the site homepage with no changes made)

    This .htaccess fix in wp-admin did the trick for me, and it’s working again:
