    Hi,

    I am trying to save and/or export a template, but if I click on save as template or export template nothing happens.
    I have done this before, so not sure why it isn’t working now.

    1. The version of the plugin
    I was at 3.60.5 when I noticed the problem, updated to 3.60.10 and problem is still there

    2. Your browser and operating system
    I am on a Mac (OS 10.13.6) and tried with both Firefox and Chrome

    3. Address of the page with the problem
    since the problem is in the back end not sure if this info will help.
    but the site is at the moment: https://wij30.nl/wordpress-wij30/

    4. Screenshot or even videos
    I don’t see how this could help in this specific case, so didn’t make any…

    5. Be as descriptive as possible of what your issue is
    hope I have given enough info, please let me know if you miss anything
    Oh yeah, also tried switching themes in case this was a problem, this did not help. Maybe there are plugins that can cause this?

    Update:
    On another site that still has version 3.59.2 I am able to export and save as template. So I might just go beck to that version and see if that helps…

    and another update:
    unfortunately going back to the old version did not help, so looks like it is problably not a problem with your plugin as such but in a combination with another plugin maybe?
    Or maybe with the WordPress version?

    WordPress 5.7.1 on the site where it doesn’t work, WordPress 5.6.3 on the site where it does work…

    The search continues!

    Update on my continued investigation:

    On the site where I could export and save:
    Updated WordPress from 5.6.3 to 5.7.1 (without updating MailPoet)
    checked: yes can still export as template

    Updated MailPoet (and all other plugins)
    checked: yes can still export as template

    So no insight there
    on the site where it doesn’t work:
    deactivated all plugins except Mailpoet
    checked: still can’t export as template.

    the sites were on different versions of PHP, updated PHP version
    checked: still can’t export as template.

    I am totally out of things to try now!

    Thanks for reaching out and for the detailed description of the issue!

    Can you please check if any errors appear in Console (Dev Tools) when you click to export template?

    In Chrome, right-click anywhere on template’s page > Inspect > click Console tab > try to export template > check if new errors appeared in Console and send us screenshots.

    Check the same on the Network tab: https://d.pr/i/9m0bW8.

    Thanks for your reply. And yes this reveals interesting information.

    Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://wij30.nl/wordpress-wij30/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mailpoet-newsletter-editor&id=123’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure frame ‘https://wij30.nl/wordpress-wij30/?mailpoet_router&endpoint=view_in_browser&action=view&data=WzEyMywiMjYwN2I1MjVjMjI4IiwwLDAsMCwxXQ’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

    I checked my entire database and replaced every https://wij30.nl with https://wij30.nl but this did not help. So I don’t know why it keeps requesting something over http…
    This goes above my tech knowledge, really hope you can help!

    This is a great find! This could be stored somewhere on your site but not in the database.

    Can you please reach out to your hosting to check that?

    I reached out to my host and indeed they could help. There was some mismatch SSL situation.
    Not entirely sure how and what, but they fixed it!

    Hi, I’m have the same issue:
    “The email could not be saved.
    Please clear your browser cache and reload the page.
    If the problem persists, duplicate the email and try again.”

    I can’t save or export templates, even reloading or duplicate email, still failing.

    This is the errors at Console (Dev Tools):
