Attaching info, please note that the customization of bg_BG was achieved by manipulating the serialized data in the database, not possible through the UI. Unfortunately I can’t change the default ISO9 encoding, even in this way. It reverts to its old default. And as there is no table for en_US, it uses ISO9. I tried creating a table for en_US in the serialized data, but it did not work ??

So here’s what I see in the network dev tools: the request

gets response 403
Access to this resource on the server is denied!

Again, I have AJAX scripts running normally, I don’t know why this one is blocked. I do understand that the server does this, but it is a normal cPanel hosting, and I see other people here had the problem too. Maybe you can find a way around it.

Thank you for providing the info. To allow cyr2lat work correctly, bg_BG must be set as a site locale. You have en_US. Site locale must be set here.

The 403 is not related to cyr2lat anyhow. Some plugins or theme implements a “security” features. Please try to deactivate all plugins, one by one, and change theme to standard. In this way you can find a culprit.

Also, 403 may be returned by the web server. You should see the detailed code in the Dev Tools, which image would be good to share.
