Can’t save a page or post

    I installed and activated HTTPS redirect and all pages on the site seem to work fine, they are directed to HTTPS pages, but when I go to make a new page or post, give it a name and try to save as a draft, I get a pink bar across the screen saying “updating failed” The page name reverts to auto draft. Also, I note that in the general settings, the WordPress address (URL) is still HTTP and so is the site address (URL) other sites that I have done the same thing with now show HTTPS in those lines. I am running WordPress 5.03 and using the Divi theme.

    Can you change the URL address? Make sure it begins with https://. Then carry out a test. Let me know if this fixes your issue.

    I failed to respond to this a couple of months ago, but I was able to change the WordPress address and site address to HTTPS and this solved the issue.
