can′t run the install.php

  • Hi there. I am having a problem getting past the installation of wordpress. I put everything via ftp on my webspace on bplaced.

    now i tried to run the install.php by putting this in my webbrowser.

    xxx.bplaced.net/blog/wp-admin/install.php (xxx being my domainname)

    and reveived a error that looks like this:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘=’ in /users/erikapoetker77/www/blog/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 2078

    Really need some help here from a pro? ??

  • Try reuploading the file it’s complaining about. Although I’ve never seen an error like this being due to file upload failure, it could happen.
