I’ve trashed aprox. 8000 images, but my posts galleries stopped working.

When I tried to restore the images, the counter doesn’t increase, staying always in:
    0/7933 (0%)

What’s the directory that trashed images are kept? I think that I accidentally deleted it, but I had a backup of my uploads folder and already restored it. So all I need is to rewrite to the Media Gallery the links to the images, so my galleries will come back.

    How can I do this?

    Thanks,

In the plugin screen, it is written: “Please use these functions very carefully. Deleted files will be moved to the ‘uploads/wpmc-trash’ directory.”

Not sure why the counter doesn’t increase, the plugin might be lost if you removed that folder, this is possible and I would like to handle this case and display an error message instead.

To rewrite to he Media Gallery, of course, only a database backup will do it. In the plugin screen, it is also written “The deletion of a media is PERMANENT.”.

purchio: as per my experience, you have to be very careful because there are many versions of wordpress, many plugins, many skins. Each is developed independently and there is always a chance something might go wrong. Backup your files regularly and before any major change. Try WordPress Move – my favorite backup program.
