Can't resize post's line height.

Hi,
I’m having trouble resizing the line height of my single posts. I tried using:

.single , .page {
  line-height: 1.1em !important;
}

and

.single #content, .page #content{
  line-height: 1.1em !important;
}

Obviously, neither work. Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?
