Can’t reorder posts beyond worpress’ posts_per_page

Hi,

I have more than 20 posts in a category (this seems to be the default max set by WordPress) So when I’ve created a post I want to move further down the list towards the bottom how do I move it into the second page of posts?

I followed this tutorial in order to increase the number of posts displayed per page (https://www.shayatik.com/2013/11/how-to-display-more-than-20-posts-in-wordpress-dashboard/)
I can drag and drop said post lower down but it does not stay there. It will move around happily within those first 20 posts and the effects are replicated on the site, but try and drag it beyond the 20 post display default and it does not save..??
Being able to drag posts to pages beyond the first, or adding a display more posts option to your plugin would be such an obviously brilliant feature.
