Can't remove/change facebook link on website

  • Hi, I’m hoping someone here can help me fix something on my wesbite page. I’m looking after this site for my boss who bought it from the previous owner. I’m not sure where to find it, but I would like to remove or change the link to our new facebook page instead of the old facebook. On our website, the fb icon on the right side takes you to the old page. I also would like to take google+ off as well.

    I’ve poured through every link and page on our wordpress site but can’t find where this link exists. I have read you can change it in settings under social media, but my dashboard column doesn’t have a settings tab. I have tools, links page and contact but no settings. And I’ve searched google for hours looking for any page that might help. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Go to dashboard>>Appearance>>Widgets
    Then look in sidebar. You’ll find what you’re looking for. You’ll be able to edit your FB link, and remove the g+ share button.

    Hi, thanks for responding! I don’t have appearance on my dashboard. I’ve looked everywhere for it, and can’t find it. And without that I’m assuming I also can’t change the appearance. Is there any place else on the site where it could be hiding? (I have also noticed on wp that it says for some things I need to log in as admin, but we are the admin. There is no one else associated with this site. I also can’t find any place to change the status of myself to admin).
