You need to remove that completely. If you can’t, you need to ask your hosting provider to remove the redirect.

ok, so they removed the redirect, but now do i move the entire wp folder into a new directory or?

ok, so i’m going to move the files into a new directory in my home right? and do i move everything including the index.php and .htaccess? and can i just copy everything and then delete the original directory in my public_html? because, i’m guessing since it is in my root that i want to take out of there right?

ok, so i moved the wp files into a new folder, i changed my site url and wordpress url but now i can’t get to my wp-admin…i get a 404 error

am i supposed to change the index.php? i know it doesn’t say to in the directions, but that’s what you do when you’re just trying to change the url without moving anything

i tried changing them in the phpadmin but it didn’t work

Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copy of the main index.php file.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

So, just download a fresh install? Should I delete everything before I do that? And do I need to delete anything besides the wp files?

Rgsteps, what did you do to get a redirect? There is trouble shooting posts you can find on Google,I remember seeing something about how to fix that when I was looking for a way to fix my issue…and they’re probably going to tell you to make your own post since you’re not having the same problem as I am

My problem is the same as the one in the title:

wp appears in the url automatically and I get a totally blank page and cannot enter my site. Since yesterday.
