I installed this plugin on our website and it blew it up. The AMP pages look terrible and are either completely empty or are showing tons of HTML code.

I just want to remove it now, but I can’t seem to either deactivate it or delete it. When I go to my plugins list, it shows the plugin as installed but not active. But when I click delete, it gives an error saying “cannot be deleted if active on main site.”

How can I remove this plugin and go back to the way things were?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Sorry to hear you’ve been unable to uninstall the plugin. From inspecting your site it looks like you’ve since managed to uninstall.

While I see no trace of the AMP plugin on your site at present I do see traces of AMP for WP installed, an alternative AMP plugin.

If using this AMP plugin you may find the plugins FAQs page useful, with information on how the plugins helps users achieve AMP versions of their content. This may include stripping out non AMP compatible content, which may be what you encountered.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you require any further assistance.
