I added a .jpg to a post – and it happens on pages as well – and I didn’t like it so I edited the post end removed it.

What I didn’t notice at first is that adding the pic to the post placed it at the beginning of the post – where I wanted it, but also place a copy at the end of the post. However the pic at the end of the post doesn’t show up in edit mode, only when you view the post from the front-end.

I’ve tried deleting everything in the post – in both view and text modes – so I’m looking at a blank, empty post. When I update it, and go to the front-end, open that post, the picture is still there!

Any ideas what is happening? I have no media related plugins installed and I’m running WP 3.61 with an Elegant Themes ASKIT theme.

    Thanks!
    Rob

  • Do you cleared any caching on your site and browser?

    Thanks for the quick response!

Yes, I did. It’s happening in both Safari and Firefox and I’ve cleared the cache.

It’s strange – like I said, when I’m in the back end of WP, and I edit the post or page, there is no media there.

It was a setting in the WP User FrontEnd Plugin.

Just FYI – if you’re using WPFU, which allows for editing/submitting fromthe front end, on the “others” tab click of where it says “show image on post”.
