Can’t remove black paypal banner on shop pages

  • My shop is not currently live because I’m trying to fix this issue but I have tried removing the black rectangle paypal pay later banner from my shop pages with no success. I’ve unchecked it next to shop in the pay later tab in woocommerce settings and when I click save it says settings saved but then it just automatically goes back to the default settings and checks the box next to shop again. I’ve tried adding the code snippet suggested in another post describing a similar issue and nothing changed.

  • You have not added the code snippet correctly. There are code snippet plugins, but I suggest you make a child theme. This takes just a couple of steps but there are plugins to help you do this. The code snippet goes in functions.php in the child theme. Create functions.php if necessary. The first line in functions.php should be <?php to identify that the file contains code. Put the snippet after.

    I can’t say whether its the right code snippet.

    I suggest undoing the changes and using a plugin like Code Snippets to organize your custom code safely.

    The link I inlcuded was before a code snippet was added. I’ve had to disable the option for paypal until it can be resolved. My issue is that when I unselect “Shop” under Pay Later to remove the banner from my shop pages nothing happens. The banner remains and that change to unselect “Shop” is not saved.

    Could you share screenshots of the following:
    – Where you disabled the option for PayPal.
    – Where you unselect “Shop” under Pay Later
    – Black rectangle PayPal pay later banner

    I visited your site and it looks like you have disabled the plugin or the code.
    Also, I could not find any products on your site. Product links lead to another site.
