Can’t regenerate thumbnails

  • Hello when I try to regenerate the thumbnails I get this error: `Skipped Attachment ID 11: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 37: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 59: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 60: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 61: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 63: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 75: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 76: No route was found matching the URL and request method.
    Skipped Attachment ID 77: No route was found matching the URL and request method.`

    I basically get this error for everythumbnail. I’m unsure why. WordPress rest seems to be working. I’m using astra theme with elementor. Ewwww image compression is the only other plugin I think would affect it I also have videopack installed.

    Do you see the same error when trying to access the following endpoint through the browser?
    /wp-json/regenerate-thumbnails/v1/featuredimages

    You should see “Sorry, you are not allowed to do that.”.

    If you see the same message “No route was found matching the URL and request method.”, something is happening with the whole Regenerate Thumbnails API in your site. Otherwise, it could be something only with the regenerate endpoint.

    I recommend you trying to disable other plugins and change the current theme trying to understand where the problem comes from.

    I just experienced the same thing. Deactivating the Wordfence plugin helped. After reactivating Wordfence it seems to be solved, not sure yet if it stays that way.

    @moxie, I’m glad that you were able to solve your issue by deactivating this other plugin. Probably it was having some kind of conflict.
