Can’t redesign theme

  • Hi people,

    I want to redesign theme in WordPress 2.0.4 and I can’t do it. I tride on almost every theme, and under the box where is code says: If this file were writable you could edit it.

    In older wordpress I didn’t had that problem.

  • It just means you need to CHMOD whatever file you are editing to 666 (or higher on some hosts). Be sure and CHMOD back to 644 when finished.

    It’s really easier to just download the file you are working on and edit it and re-upload it.

    Hey samboll,

    I’m on the learning curve here with wordpress. Do you have any sugesstions where to start? I heard that I can do design in photoshop and slice it and import it as an XHTML
