Can’t recover any of the files in Trash

    Hi,

    I got Media Cleaner to analyse my library some time ago, and it moved many of my files to the Trash (it wasn’t wrong). However, after testing my site, there’s a few files that I needed to be recovered back. The Media Cleaner “analyzes” these files to be recovered, and I can see the percentage successfully reaching 100% – then it prompts me to refresh the page. After refreshing, nothing. No files were recovered. I try this with various different files, 1 file, multiple files, and even tried using the “Recover All” button, but to no avail.

    Am I missing out on something? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    I think you did fine, it should have worked. Have you enabled the WP_TRASH constant? Also, have you checked the PHP Error Logs? I am surprised it reaches 100% without an error, in fact, that’s really the odd part.

    Thank you so much for the reply previously. Strangely, your message had never reached me, even though it was so prompt! Fortunately, I’ve had to revamp my website recently so it wasn’t pressing for me to recover the missing images anymore. I’ll be sure to check out your solution if I face any problems with it again.Thanks!

    Same for me! It’s not recovering any file either multiple or single.
    I have tried with and without define( ‘MEDIA_TRASH’, true );

    Hi,

    MEDIA_TRASH needs to be set before the deletion. If you only active it after, it has no effect over the files which were deleted before that.
