Can’t publish posts

    I recently moved my site from Ubuntu to Debian with Duplicator (lite) and everything seems to work fine except one very important thing: I can’t publish or save as draft posts.

    When I try to save a post, the title changes to “Auto-Saved” and there is nothing in the content body.

    The draft post shows up in “All Posts” but again it does not have the content that put in the file, only the headline it created of “Auto-Saved.”

    I can update the title with “Quick Edit,” but nothing that was in the regular Edit screen saves.

    The Health and Troubleshooting Plugin shows no issues. Debug mode doesn’t show anything in the log.

    Images upload. Text is in the image fields upload.

    I’m somewhat at a loss as to how to debug or fix it.

    My active them is Twenty Twenty-Two.

    I have disabled and removed Wordfence and Yoast.

  • Are you facing the same issue with Pages? Have you tried repairing your database? How about reinstalling wordpress?

    I figured it out. I had an Apache2 rewrite rule that was adding a / to the end of files when not present that was causing the problem. Ran down a lot of rabbit holes on the way, however.
