Basically, after the last colossal WordPress update 5.0, the plugin isn’t working correctly on my website. Everything works as usual except I can’t post anything without disabling the whole plugin first (updating post which I write doesn’t work as well, uploading media doesn’t work as well).

Could you please tell me which plugin options interact with publishing, updating and uploading media so I can first disable that options to check on plugin functionality.

It is a little bit annoying to disable this plugin every time so that I can publish a new post.

    Hi,
The new Gutenberg editor require Rest API access, so ensure the JSON REST is not blocked, see WP Hide > Rewrite > JSON REST -> Block any JSON REST calls this need to stay to No.

    Thanks

“This might be required by spedific plugins, including new WordPress editor Gutenberg.”

I see you have added this text with a new update, you might change “speidifc” to “specific” by next update.

Anyways, this was an option I was looking for, everything works now as usual and I don’t need to disable this plugin everytime I want to write a new article.

Thank you a lot, it is a great plugin.

I have a created a post with the gutenberg block editor. When I want to save it it says updating failed I can only published when I am in the classic editor.
I then enable the Troubleshooting mode and I found that It’s only when I disable your plugin I can publish or update that particular post. Until now that same post I can’t publish pr update it but something interesting the changes or the update have taken place. ??
    So please look into that.

I also have the problem that I can no longer write posts. For me the page just does not load and stays white. Use the classic editor and not the Gutenberg Editor. In the rest of the API settings, I have everything on NO. If I disable the plugin, I can write again normally. I hope someone can help me.

Can you ensure all options at WP Hide > Rewrite > JSON REST are set to No?
If still not working, can you disable other plugins and see if there’s any change?

As last instance, please consider to get in touch and i’ll check it further.

    Thanks

    Hello @tdgu

I’m currently having the same problem like @zoranxdj but your response seems too technical for me. Can you simply the steps to resolving this please? Like steps especially where to start from.

    Thank you.
    Samuel.

I have been having this very issue for two weeks. I don’t understand the directions you have given to resolve it. Like samuleson00, I need a step-by-step. This is very annoying and needs to taken care of.

    Thank you.

Hello @thepitmagazine, go to your plugin page, search, install and activate “Classic editor” and you’d be fine.

    Thank you.

Guess the old adage, “don’t fix it if it ain’t broken” applies to this situation. I like the classic editor much better.
