Can’t publish in WordPress 5.0 – 5.1.1.

  • So it’s basically what the title says: I can’t publish a post since WordPress 5.0.
    As a web developer it’s pretty frustrating to all the time use WordPress 4.9.9. instead of the newest version.

    Important: No plugin is causing this issue. I tried to post with all plugins disabled and it still doesn’t work.

    How can I fix this issue, or will this issue be solved soon?

  • Do you get any errors when you try to publish posts? If you do, share screenshots.
    Have you tried switching to one of the default themes?

    Yes, I’ve also tried switching themes. Didn’t work unfortunately. Screenshot won’t be necessary. I just get the simple error in red on top of my page: “Publiceren mislukt”, which in English means: “Publish Failed”.

    Same Problem. I’ve noticed it long ago.

    Got the same problem here since the update: can’t publish, can’t save concept…

    OK meanwhile searched the net and got a solution:
    Install the ‘classic editor’ plugin.
    Then you should save and/or publish now ??
