I uploaded parent and child theme. activated child theme. when i try to preview or customize I see left side-bar and in the middle of the screen a gray circle icon with a white inner circle in it that rotates inside of the gray one. It seems to be trying to load but it never does. I have seen quite a few of posts about this and i have tried many suggestions which have not worked. Uninstalling WP, disabling plugins, activating and then trying the twenty twelve, twenty thirteen, etc… themes. All this to no avail. I am using hostMonster for my host. I currently have a website called cclworksforyou.com that I created from scratch but now I want to change it with a theme I purchased from templatemonster.com, uploaded it both the child and parent into WP but as mentioned above I can’t preview the child or customize it after activating it.

is there anyone out there who knows how to solve my issue of all themes (WP ones and others) continuing to try to load without success. I have activated and then tried customizing each one with the same results. Tried in FF, Google Chrome, IE, and Safari. None work. I have latest version of WP and used their FTP program to upload my theme, purchased from another vendor not WP. However the Twenty… themes in WP do not load either for customizing.
I was hoping to add a snip-it of the screen but don’t see how I can add to this thread.

I see this item is resolved. I have the same issue. How can this be resolved?

My issue was that I had an existing index.html page that I had created for my website before I bought a WordPress template. The html page was located on my host server (hostMonster). So when I was trying to open the template in wordpress it was finding the index.html page. WordPress only deals with pages in php format. So I had to rename my existing index.html page to something like index-old.html. Then I was able to open the wordpress template with no problems.

Thank you for the reaction. For me this is unfortunatly not the case. I will search for another solution. Thanks anyway.
