Can’t post new pages or edit old ones

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me figure out why I can’t post new pages with my wordpress. I though it was because I hadn’t upgraded, so a friend came and upgraded my site, but I still have the same problem. When I hit “publish” or “save” I get brought to a blank page and nothing goes into my database. However, on the bookmarklet for posting, when I hit “publish” or “save” the post goes into my database, but does not publish.

Any ideas? Otherwise, I guess I will need to go look for paid help.
