Can't Paste Microsoft Word document

  • I am trying to use the “paste from word” icon to move formatted text from a word document into a post and nothing happens except for a paste from an earlier function. As is if is not copying from the word document.

    I have tried post the right click copy and paste function on my mouse to using control c and v and nothing works. This is the first time I am using Word press but I am an experienced pc user otherwise.

    Any suggestions?

    Try pasting your text into NotePad (or another text editor) first, then copy from NotePad into WordPress. Or use Windows LiveWriter.

    Thanks Tara… I was able to paste the word document into notepad as rich text. I was never aware that Microsoft word documents could not be pasted into s blog.
