    How can I copy & paste some text into the Yoast SEO “Meta description” field without getting an error?

    When I’m trying to edit a post on WordPress, if I try to paste something into the Yoast SEO “Meta description” field, then the field disappears and I get an error instead

    This has been a problem for years, transcending many versions of Firefox, WordPress, and the Yoast SEO plugin.

    Note that I *am* using many plugins in firefox (eg to prevent tracking, fingerprinting, etc) and custom about:config settings to prevent websites from doing silly things (eg preventing them from preventing me from copying/pasting text).

    What is breaking the Yoast SEO plugin, and how can I paste text into the “Meta description” field without it crashing?
