    Hi,

we have installed WPB2D a short time ago, and it works great! Our backup is stored to dropbox, folder apps/wpb2d/

Today our theme Chip Life came with an update, 1.4.3 to 1.5, and without thinking we installed it. Now the website looks totally different, the big update came with a completely renewed design (we don’t like).

So we installed Simple-restore and followed your steps. We get the Welcome, we do the authorizing-step, then it starts!

    Step 1: Choose subfolder
What subfolder is your backup stored in?

    We have only 1 choice:
I did not backup to a subfolder

When we continue “next” we get a red line, saying:
Error: no WPB2D zip archives found in that folder.

Can you help us, how to proceed in this situation?
    Many thanks in advance!!

    Gday,

At the moment the restore will only work for zipped up backups. So, if you don’t use the zip extension, you will need to manually create a zip of the contents of your backup folder before using the restore wizard.

Sorry, I probably should make this more clear.

    Cheers,
    Mikey

    Hi,
    I have the same problem.
I create a zip archive and I upload it to the same folder of “restore” but still have the : Error: no WPB2D zip archives found in that folder.

    What can I do?

    Thsnks

    Hi Mikey,

the same here. When I download from Dropbox, the file seems to be a zip! But it shows in Dropbox as a folder with contents.

Would it solve the problem when I upload the zip-file to Dropbox’ root?

A friend of mine told me you cannot upload zipfiles to Dropbox? Just tried: File too large (max 300MB).

    Hey,

I got the same issue (and stil dont see where i can set wpb2d to create a .zip)
I did the .zip my self, but now i get this message:

Step 3: Downloading and extracting your site

Depending on the size of your site, your internet connection and server settings this could take some time. So, please be patient.
    Initializing
    Error: Path ‘/none/www.mysite.zip’ not found

    Any hint ?

    Cheers,

    Gday guys,

Due to the complicated nature of restoring I have decided to discontinue WPB2D simple restore.

I hope to introduce a restore plugin to replace it soon.

    Cheers,
    Mikey
