Can’t override automatically selected locale

    The Polylang feature that automatically redirects visitors (depending on the User Agent header) to a localized URL (when available) is very helpful.
    However, I am unable to manually override switch to another locale than the previously, automatically selected one. When I try to select a different locale (e.g. locale switcher or trying to use the known URL of another locale), the browser will stay on the automatically redirected page. This seems to be an issue with Chrome as it caches redirects aggressively.
    Can a different HTTP status response code used for the redirection that is less permanent?
