This message appears when I try to open wp-files in my hard drive. A view of the certificate shows it is issued to cwh11.canadianwebhosting.com. Shouldn’t this certificate be issued to wordpress? If so, how can this be corrected.

A side note: I post in this forum to either ask for support or volunteer some. I really do not expect my posts to be inadvertently deleted. If this has to be done, will you please provide me the courtesy of sending me an email so I can at least be notified of the deletion? Please note also that I am trying to use this wordpress software. There is no sense being adversarial about it!

  • I wouldn’t know of any connection between WP and a security certificate. Do you use a certificate for your website perhaps or a plugin that uses one? When you want to open a file from your harddrive, just find it in the Windows Explorer (or whatever) in the WP pack on your PC, click right and “oppen with” Notepad. You can’t open PHP files in a browser if that’s what you try to do.

what you are describing has NOTHING to do with wordpress and everything to do with how whatever server software you are using is configured.

.. and dont expect an email from a mod regarding deletions. they do their jobs for FREE with very little, if any, thanks or appreciation. Very few people around here are grateful for anything.

Expecting them to to email you to is a little ‘off’.

Instead, read the forum rules, so you KNOW when you break one:

this is after all, a forum, not a daycare canter.
