    I’m following up on a review conversation…

My problem is that I can’t navigate to a specific SmugMug folder, album, or photo when I use the “Add/Edit Photonic Gallery” button from the posting page.

Add/Edit Photonic Gallery > SmugMug > Next > Photos From an Album > Current User radio button > Next. I am presented with a grid of thumbnails of photos. They don’t seem to be organized in any way nor can I filter them or navigate to a particular album. I can load more, but I have hundreds of albums and thousands of photos.

    My SmugMug account is https://photos.at-speed.com

I’m not actually clear on what Gutenberg is, though I’ve seen the term mentioned in the UI. I assume it is a new version of UI?

If I am reading this correctly, the issue you are facing is because the album titles are not being displayed, thereby preventing you from doing a “Find” on the screens. I will add something to assist you with this in a couple of releases, once I am back from vacation.

In the meanwhile I have an alternative for you, if amenable:

    1. When you get the first screen with the thumbnails, just pick one album from the list and follow it through to the end; it will insert a shortcode on your site. The structure of the shortcode will be similar to this:
      [gallery type='smugmug' view='album' album='94PSXq' columns=4]
The key thing in the above is the album='94PSXq' part.
    2. Now go to your SmugMug album list as returned by the API here.
    3. Search for the album you require. Let’s say you want this one:
      AlbumList [4 of 452] - Jake's Lotus 23 with the V4
      /api/v2/album/P6mBR8

The key part here is the P6mBR8, which is the album id

    4. In the generated shortcode replace album='94PSXq' with album='P6mBR8', i.e. plug in the new album id.
    5. Save your post.

I will put in something in a couple of weeks to help you do this sort of a search from within the UI – I have only had one user with 200+ SmugMug albums so far, so this was never identified as an issue earlier.

OK – I have an update for you. I have included a “filtering” capability. Please see this screenshot, where I have taken your albums and executed a search using “saab”. This should let you find what you are looking for more easily. You will not require the workaround I have provided above.

I didn’t mention this in the above – the update is in version 2.15, which is available for download.

Hi – I am following up on this. Has version 2.15 resolved the situation for you?

    Hello,
Thank you for the update. I think it works correctly. I will keep playing with it and let you know if I run into any issues. Again, thank you.

I have rewritten my initial review, since it is no longer accurate.
