• I used a “search and replace” type plugin that, although unintended on my end, deleted the title and content of several posts. Now the title name is listed on the posts summary page as “(no title)”

Now when I try and delete these posts – either individually or via bulk – nothing happens. I get a message like “10 posts moved to trash” but when checked, they have not been moved.

Is there a way that these posts can be moved to trash and thus ultimately, deleted?

  • Did you do a database backup first (as instructed)? If so, ask host how to restore it.

Also, if you can edit the posts individually, add a title and try to delete. Do you intend to remake them?

No sadly (and obviously) foolishly I did not do a backup.

And the ones that had the title and content deleted were older ones, the information contained therein was dated and no longer useful (so I am not going to remake them), and since it is over 100 posts, I was hoping there was a way to delete them without having to individually edit each one by adding a title.

Is there a way to bulk trash/delete them or is my only option editing each one and adding a title?
