• I had it working on my old machine but upgraded to a laptop, currently running IE6.
When I right-click and choose the WP: Post option, I get an error message that says “an error has occurred in teh script on this page” and specifies the error as ” ‘external.menuArguments.document’ is null or not an object “

When I try to use the link I saved in favorites, the pop-up blocker blocks it, and when I ask it to allow the pop-up, it still doesn’t show. If I ask it to allow pop-ups from this location, it refers to the site from which I am trying to reference.

    Help greatly appreciated!

P.S. How can I tell what version of WordPress I am running?

  • To find your WordPress version, open any Admin Panel and look at the footer in the bottom. It should tell you.

Check which version you are running, and if it is 1.5.1 or 1.5.2, then delete your Press It link from your favorites and/or link toolbar and then click and drag a new version up to your link toolbar or right click and save it as favorites. I like to have it in my toolbar right where I can quickly click it when viewing a web page.

Hi, tried the above but am still having both problems.

I upgraded to 1.5, deleted the Press It from Favorites, added it back, and still can’t get around the pop-up blocking problem. Perhaps it’s a particular problem with IE?

I also still can’t get the right click to work. (Never worked in 1.2 either, now that I think about it. I resaved and reran the registry edit after the upgrade, but still get the same error message as stated above.

Finally, I would like to drag the Press It link to my link toolbar, but I can’t figure out how — as soon as I hover over it, it opens. Basic question, but how do I drag the link?

    Thanks for any help,
    hsc

figured out the Press It to links toolbar. Am still stymied by the right click. Again, any thoughts appreciated.

OK, I got the same error ” ‘external.menuArguments.document’ is null or not an object ” I used the regedit and have the right click option but it does nothing. I’m missing something (probably simple) and I feel so dumb which isn’t unusual.
