• Really sorry to bother you guys with this, but I went through all your troubleshooting to no avail.

On my website https://www.gallonbrewing.com I used to deactivate the two elements in the menu that have child pages (“How to” and “About”) with another plugin called “Advanced Disable Parent Menu Link”.
Now, I find the idea of redirecting these two parent pages to one of their child pages with “Quick Page/Post Redirect” more elegant.
I deactivated the old plugin and created the redirects with yours, I made sure the redirects were active, I don’t use any cache plugin, I flushed the cache in my browser and waited for a week just in case my host had a cached version of the website.
Still, the menu behaves as with the old plugin.

    Any last chance hint?

    Solved!
Surprisingly engough, there’s a “Custom link” field for these pages in WP->Appearance->Menu that I’ve been able to use for this.
I hope it’s a real 301, but that does the job.

Glad you solved it. I was going to recommend that you use the custom link method.

    Regards,
    Don
