Can't make it work . . .

  • I’m trying to install WP on my site. I got all the database information from my provider. I downloaded a clean copy of WP and installed it on my server. But when I type in the URL this is what happens; Error establishing a database connection.

    I looked in the Codex but found nothing, at least that I can understand.

    Any suggestions?

  • This means that the database details are wrong, or you have entered them into your wp-config.php file wrong. You should double-check them and if they look right, then ask your hosting company again and get them to check it.
