Can't login, wp-admin (wp-login.php) returns a dot.
-
It might have been happening since at least yesterday, but only noticed today as I was working with an already logged in session and I got the error when trying to log in from another computer.
The logged in session works perfectly fine, I just can’t log in again from anywhere, not even the same computer with the same browser in a new (incognito) tab.Whenever I try to log in through wp-admin/ I get the user/password prompt as usual, but then when clicking the login button I get redirected to wp-login.php and all I see is a blank page with a dot.
What I had done before I noticed this problem:
-I’ve been using the twenty eleven theme for a long while so I decided to test twenty thirdteen. Applied the theme, decided I didn’t like it and reverted back to twenty eleven. What I have done since I detected the problem:
-Read all through the WordPress 3.6 master list.
-Renamed the plugins folder and wiped the browser cache.
-Tried switching to twenty thirteen again, and then twenty twelve.
-Renamed the wp-admin and wp-includes folders and uploaded fresh files from the 3.6 zip.
-Renamed wp-login.php and uploaded the fresh file from the 3.6 zip.
-Renamed the twentyeleven theme folder and uploaded a fresh theme folder from the twentyeleven 1.6 zip file.
-Checked the error_log in the root of my wordpress install, and there’s nothing relevant from this week (some out of memory errors when I uploaded the fresh wp-includes, before I modified the memory limit).
-Created a new user, just in case it was a problem with my current user.None of that solved anything.
I have also submited a support ticket to my host provider.
Is there anything else I should check? Something I may have missed?
Regards.
