Can't login with /wp-login.php – cookies error notice

Hi Sandra,

this may be a bit of a guess, but WordPress 4.4 changed the number of embedded SSL certificates and it causes all kinds of problems.
You can try the fix suggested at: https://conschneider.de/woocommerce/woocommerce-subscriptions-blank-settings-after-upgrade/ – Scroll down a bit, download the certificate file and follow the replacement instructions.

another idea is to try using a plugin which deletes all cookies like https://www.editthiscookie.com/. Just to be sure there actually aren’t any corrupted cookies.
Then refresh and try again.

@sandra First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting https://whatbrowser.org/

If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

If it is, please do these two things:

1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

If you actually do want to give someone direct access, please try https://jobs.wordpress.net/ or https://directory.codepoet.com/ and do not accept any hire or direct access offers posted to these forums.

thanks for your tips. James, I tried all of that, and nothing worked. So finally I gave up and switched to Joomla, which works perfectly fine. Thanks anyway, Sandra
